Ardgroom, again, a beautiful, brightly painted and well maintained village, overlooking Kenmare Bay and on the Ring of Beara route. Nearby, at Derryvegal Lake, freshwater fishing can be enjoyed. In Canfie, there is a Stone Circle dating from 1000BC. These stone alignments are believed to be ancient calendars. Throughout the whole area, there are numerous places of accommodation with top-quality Bed and Breakfasts, Self-Catering Houses and a Hostel. LAURAGH/TUOSIST Tuosist parish is in the Kerry
region of the glorious Beara Peninsula. Starting just outside Kenmare, it
stretches for 23 miles down the coast the the Cork County bounds, just before
the village of Ardgroom. There are numerous walking and cycling routes and lake
fishing is also available in Gowlaun, Clonee, Inchiquin, Uragh and Glenmore
lakes. The area is littered with historical remains from the Fulacht Fia
Mass Rocks to the Carraig na Scriob which is hidden high in the nearby Caha
mountains
