Breakfast, a family run guesthouse situated in Kilcatherine on the
beautiful Beara Peninsula commanding spectacular sea-views, is the ideal
place to relax and unwind. Located on the scenic Ring of Beara, it
is very close to one of the locations used in Deirdre Purcell's
popular 'Falling for a Dancer' series shot for the BBC and RTE in 1997. It
is an ideal base from which to explore the delights of the peninsula and
is only 10 minutes from the colourful villages of Eyeries
and Ardgroom.
It is also on the Beara
Way Walking & Cycling Routes (Bicycles for
Hire and delivered to your B & B) and there are numerous historical
sites adjacent to the house such as the Hag
of Beara ( the petrified remains of an ancient woman of Celtic legend)
and Ballycrovane Ogham Stone.
Rooms are en-suite with wonderful sea and mountain views. Each room has Tea & Coffee making facilities plus a TV. Children are most welcome and your host Catherine O'Sullivan is on hand to advise you of any queries you may have and on any aspect of this wonderful peninsula such as activities you may wish to partake in or areas to visit. Evening meals are available if required. Credit Cards are accepted and there are reductions for multiple night stays.
